04/04/2025 Poland, Katowice, 1st lecture and workshop: Post-war economic recovery of Ukraine

One-day event in February 2025. Expert lecture and first workshop devoted to discovering and managing the integration maturity of Ukraine, her preparedness for accession conditions and necessary actions for successful closure of integration. The event is supposed to set the stage for the project, raise awareness of the issue among the participants and provoke a public debate.

15/10/2025-18/10/2025 Czechia, Brno, 2nd lecture and workshop: Economic and budget impact of the Ukrainian accession

One-day event in October 2025. Expert lecture and third workshop committed to the topic of EU and national budget impact of possible accession of a country with high potential demand for EU funds. How does the possible Ukraininan membership affect the redistribution of cohesion, develpoment and agricultural funds in the EU? What would be the net impact on national budgets in the EU? The workshop will allow for more scholarly discussion and search for the possible areas of cooperation.

15/04/2026-18/04/2026 Hungary, Budapest, 3rd lecture and workshop: Political system and defence analysis of the Ukraine in the light of Copenhagen criteria and Cooperation for Security and Defence

One-day event in April 2025. Expert lecture and second workshop committed to the issue of political and defence risk analysis of Ukraine in the light of EU integration. The event will allow to discuss the most important challenges of Ukraine and work out the possible areas for cooperation among V4 countries.

21/10/2026-24/10/2026 Slovakia, Bratislava, 4th lecture and workshop: Development of business and trade relations between Ukraine and the EU under Eastern Partnership and enlargement negotiations

One-day event in April 2026. Expert lecture and fourth workshop devoted to the development of trade and business partnership between V4 countries and Ukraine. The workshop will allow for generating conclusions and recommendations for cooperation.

17/03/2027-25/03/2027 Czechia, Brno, Final Conference: The Geopolitics of Ukraine and Its EU Integration

Two days conference organized in October 2026. International event with invited keynote speakers aimed at disseminating the results of the project in the scholarly field. Representants of the research groups will present their findings and policy papers will be discussed. We expect participants coming from a variety of countries as well as PhD students. Finalization of the master/diploma thesis announced at the beginning of the project (October/November 2020). Works must concern the position of all or selected V4 countries in the EU and/or their future therein. Competition addressed to all students who will have defended their thesis in V4 countries in 2020-2021. The finalization of the competition will take place during the project conference with the winners invited to take part in it.
